    8:00 – 8:45 1. Registration and Breakfast

     

    8:45 – 9:00 2. Welcome and Overview of Agenda and Goals

     Objective: Kick-off the ZEV Workshop and orient attendees!   

     Format: Presentation 

     Speaker: Lori Clark, NCTCOG

     

    9:00 – 9:15 3. State of Heavy-Duty Zero Emission Vehicles

    Objective: Provide information on current ZEV adoption in the United States, including barriers and opportunities. Share where success and investments have occurred and why.

     Format: Presentation

    9:15 – 10:00 4. Original Equipment Manufacturers: Current ZEV Availability

    Objective: Share information on current/future availability of medium- and heavy-duty ZEV, including various ways fleets can purchase them (i.e. buying vs leasing)

     Format: Two 15-minute presentations and a 15-minute Q/A with attendees.

    Objective: Share information on how to plan for ZEV infrastructure, current/future availability of public medium- and heavy-duty ZEV infrastructure, and considerations for HD ZEV infrastructure.

    Format: Three 20-minute presentations

    12:45 – 1:30    6. Planning 101           

    Objective: Share information on how fleets can get started for a ZEV deployment. Include how to decide if a ZEV will work for your fleet, resources to transition to ZEV, technical/funding assistance, and tips for working with your vendor. 

    Format: Three 10-minute presentations and a 15-minute moderation session.

    • State, Local, and Federal Funding Programs to assist fleets with adoption of medium- and heavy-duty ZEV. 

    Erin Costigliolo: Electric Power Research Institute

    • EPRI resources available to assist fleets in electrification, including the GridFast tool

                    Ryan Fraiser: National Lab of the Rockies (NLR)

    • Free technical assistance for fleets to plan for ZEV adoption. 

                    

    1:30 – 2:15 7. Lessons Learned from HD ZEV Adoption in Texas:

    Objective: Hear from fleets who already have adopted heavy-duty ZEV! Learn about what they have heard from their drivers/mechanics, their advice for fleets transitioning into the ZEV space, and the real cost of ZEV adoption and operation!  

    Format: Three 10-minute presentations and a 15-minute moderated session

                    Vincent Olsen: City of Dallas

    • The City of Dallas will share their experiences operating municipal EVs. 

                    John Verdon: Nevoya

    • Nevoya will share information on their experiences as a fully electric trucking carrier.

    • Funding Workshop: Meet with NCTCOG staff to talk about what funding programs your fleet could apply for!
    • Ride-and Drive: Take a ride in an HD ZEV. Vehicles include: Harbinger Motors step van and box truck, Hino L6, and Workhorse W56
    • Exhibitor Visit: Meet with industry professionals
    • Technical Assistance/Infrastructure Workshop: Start planning your ZEV transition
